Aurélien Guichard is a senior perfumer at Takasago, born and raised in Grasse, France, the heart of the fragrance industry. He grew up in a family business specializing in cultivating roses and jasmine for major perfumers, developing a passion for perfumery from an early age. Following in his father's footsteps, he trained at the prestigious Givaudan Perfumery School. After his education, Guichard began his career at Givaudan, collaborating with various companies such as Bond no. 9, Davidoff, Robert Piguet, and niche brand Ego Facto. His expertise and knowledge have made him an influential figure in the industry, with creations that are well-known and beloved worldwide. In 2020, he founded his own fragrance brand, Matière Première, focusing on sustainable perfumery by cultivating his own ingredients in Tourrettes, near Grasse.
